Why is the Lutheran Schools Development Center Needed Now? Many of us grew up in an environment where solid Christian values seemed much more at the center of people’s lives than they appear to be today.  These days it’s difficult to pick up a paper or watch the evening news without becoming very concerned about the welfare of children and the wholesomeness of the family. We are concerned about the decline in basic decency and wonder about the future of our country, our children, and grandchildren.

Families are looking for a nourishing environment to grow personally and build friendships with others. In a broken world of broken relationships, families desperately need the support of a community with values. They need a school that teaches their children the same morals, values and ethics that they believe. Children need positive role models in teachers who are active Christians, and who uphold the truths that are fostered in the home.

More and more American families want God in their lives. They want a society bound together by a common commitment to spirit-directed respect, responsibility and reverence.

There is an historic interest being shown by churches, pastors, congregations, church leaders, and parents in the establishment of Lutheran schools and early childhood centers to serve populations across America.

The Lutheran Schools Development Center has three main goals: 1) Strengthen existing schools, 2) Start new schools, and 3) Securing urban schools.
