Unit #2 –Financial Development: CAP Program “Coaching Administrators and Principals"

“When I was growing up in Lawton, Oklahoma, if anybody mentioned cash flow, it meant we were in trouble. You see, Flo was our cashier and one day she flew south with the cash. We never forgot it.”

All administrators have dreams / hopes / visions about their schools / centers and what can be done to increase programs, expand curriculums, renovate facilities, add staff, increase salaries, etc.  All schools / preschools no matter if they are rural / suburban / urban; big or small; new or old; rich or poor have the same opportunity to fulfill their dream. It’s called a financial development program – working with people and building relationships.

Development is:  “Attracting people and people attract dollars.”

  • Whether you like it or not

  • Whether you are trained or not

  • Locating additional streams of income is necessary to fulfill your dreams.

"Today, Solomon Lutheran School still has a lot of work to do to eliminate the financial burden, but the direction Solomon needs to go is now clear and on track.  Our committees will continue to work together because of his direction." - Jan Busdeker, Solomon Lutheran School, Christian Day School Committee
